Preschoolers at
Abiding Savior Lutheran School...

Know they are loved by God

God’s love and forgiveness are woven into every aspect of our day. Students hear it in the songs we sing each morning and experience it in the way teachers handle disciplinary issues. They learn about it in weekly chapel services and see it in action through teachers who pray for them and consistently model Christ’s character and kindness.

Gain foundational academic skills

Students build essential skills in literacy, numeracy, and science — laying a strong foundation for future academic success. Every day, they…

With our low student-to-teacher ratio, each child will receive plenty of individual attention. Our certified lead teachers and qualified aides tailor the learning experience to fit each student’s needs, making sure every little learner gets the support they need to thrive.

Develop Empathy and Responsibility

Children primarily learn about kindness, honesty, and empathy by watching the adults in their lives. At Abiding Savior Lutheran School, students see their teachers model these traits every day. They also join in weekly chapel services and daily “Jesus time,” which reinforce these values. Then they get to practice being kind and responsible with their friends in the classroom and on the playground!

Students also gain an age-appropriate sense of responsibility through classroom jobs, where they learn to take care of their school environment and help their classmates.

Become Confident and Independent Learners

Our teachers help children become independent in simple ways, like teaching them how to put on their coats, hang up their backpacks, and take care of their belongings.

Activities like show-and-tell give them a chance to speak in front of their peers, building their confidence and communication skills. Additionally, displaying their art and handwriting encourages students to take pride in their work and strive to do their best.

Explore with Curiosity

Preschoolers are a curious bunch! We want to nurture that natural curiosity and encourage students to explore their world. Teachers introduce these little explorers to various topics and provide opportunities, such as visits from community helpers, that spark their interest and inspire them to learn more.

Additionally, a flexible curriculum allows our teachers to create engaging lesson plans tailored to their students’ interests. This flexibility, supported by caring and trusting student-teacher relationships, helps children feel safe to explore their God-given gifts and talents.
