What do you love about Abiding Savior Lutheran School?

We love that the staff truly loves and cares about the students. We love that they educate, and discipline based on teachings of Jesus. We love the connection to the church, which has an amazing congregation.

Why did you choose Abiding Savior for your child(ren)?

Our three children all started at Abiding Savior around 3 years old in the Early Childhood program. We initially chose Abiding Savior for our oldest child because of all the great things we heard about the school from friends, neighbors, and co-workers. We stayed because the experience was everything they said and more. A welcoming community, a top tier education, and a program that shares the wonderful message of Jesus every day! As a bonus, and maybe most important, we became part of a fantastic church community.

In what ways have you seen your child grow in their faith as a result of their experience at Abiding Savior?

My son was a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) leader at Lutheran High School South, and also helped start the FCA program at Abiding Savior. My wife and I would never have imagined doing such a thing when we were his age. All three of my kids understand the power of prayer and practice it regularly. They also know how to effectively lead devotions. In many ways, they are more mature than their own parents when it comes to their faith knowledge.

What is one word your family would use to describe the Abiding Savior experience?

Such a tough question and so many possible answers...let's go with "Family," as that is how we all feel about the school and church community we belong to. It's like extended family.

What would you tell other parents to encourage them to consider enrolling their children at Abiding Savior?

Abiding Savior Lutheran School is big enough to expose your kids to many different experiences and programs, but not too big where they get lost in a crowd. Your kids will be loved and grow to be good human beings (not perfect as that is not possible, but good people). Give our school a try, and like us, you may find a good fit in the wonderful church community as well!
